What are Ombre Brows?

Ombre brows are a semi-permanent eyebrow shading technique that creates a gradient effect, providing a soft shaded look similar to the effect of wearing makeup, with the front of the brow lighter and the tail darker. Unlike microblading, which uses hair-like strokes, ombre brows use a machine to apply tiny dots of pigment, resulting in a powdery finish that resembles makeup.

How long do Ombre Brows last?

Ombre brows typically last between 1 to 3 years, depending on skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Oily skin types may find that the brows fade more quickly, while proper aftercare can extend their lifespan.

What is the process for getting Ombre Brows?

The process includes, consultation, face mapping and drawing with a pencil the eyebrow shape based on your natural features. After the shape is approved, the technician uses a machine to insert pigment into the top layer of the skin. On the day the eyebrows will look dark and saturated and after you go through the healing process they will look soft shaded. The entire procedure usually takes about 2 to 3 hours.

How is Ombre different from Microblading?

Ombre brows use a shading technique with small dots of pigment for a soft, filled-in look, while microblading involves individual strokes to mimic natural hair. Ombre is often preferred for oily or sensitive skin, as it lasts longer and is gentler on the skin.

Does it hurt?

Most clients experience minimal discomfort due to the numbing cream applied beforehand. Some may feel slight stinging or pressure, but it is generally tolerable.

What is the healing process like?

After the procedure, there may be some redness and swelling. Within a week, the brows will begin to scab and peel. It’s essential not to pick at the scabs to avoid pigment loss. Full healing can take up to 4-6 weeks.

Are Ombre Brows suitable for all skin types?

Ombre brows work well on most skin types, including oily, dry, and combination skin. They are often a better choice for oily skin compared to microblading, as they last longer and don’t blur as easily over time.
